Emma Hallas Cancer Research UK

Emma Hallas

I’m Emma, and I’m part of the dedicated Cancer Research UK Team for Ultra Events. I’ve been with Cancer Research UK since 2009, and have been managing the partnership with Ultra Events for the last 2 years.

I’m so passionate about the work we do at the charity to beat cancer sooner, and the incredible fundraising from Ultra Events and their participants is so important in helping us to achieve our goal to see 3 in 4 people surviving cancer by 2034.

I’m so inspired by the Ultra Events participants and their stories and motivations for taking part in the events, and look forward to continuing to support the partnership and all the amazing participants!

Laura Blackwell Cancer Research UK

Laura Blackwell

Hey, I’m Laura and I started out working for Ultra Events in August 2015. I now work for Cancer Research UK as part of Ultra Event’s dedicated support team as an Executive.

I love working with the Ultra Events team, their dedication to organising amazing events and helping to beat cancer by raising over £11,000,000 in the process is nothing less than inspirational. I have been lucky enough to support some amazing participants over the past two years and witnessed some phenomenal achievements.

I’m hugely excited to find out what’s in store for the future of Ultra Events and how this is going to help Cancer Research UK win the fight against cancer.

Katie Martin Cancer Research UK

Katie Martin

My name is Katie, and I have been working for Cancer Research UK since 2012. I started out working within the Events Team – organising large scale fundraising events such as Race for Life - throughout the East & West Midlands.

In 2017, I then joined the team that help participants of the Ultra Events, to fundraise for Cancer Research UK.

The huge amounts of money that participants have raised so far is outstanding, and I love playing a role in helping that to be achieved! Participants taking part in these events, are truly helping Cancer Research UK to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
